I live in texas in the forth worth area...theres not that many asians as far as workforce in the restaurants unless if ur in Chicago and California...I rarely seen any asians working here

because it is bad enough living in Texas and being asian! I live in houston and have been for 30 years. I still get stared at like I am an alien. Some people gawk at me like they never saw an asian before! Every single day I get stared at by a black, hispanic or white and some even glare at me with hate because they are racist.
You live in dallas and asians are afraid to be stereotyped and afraid that people will judge them. It's bad enough to be different looking in a white world, especially texas knowing how racist it is here.
Asians are ok with working in california because most of their customers are asians. If they work in a chilis or an applebees for example, the customers are black, white and mexican. Asians do not want to feel different then they have already been treated.
I hate texas to tell you the truth, I can't wait to move next year.

Two reasons, first, because there may not be a large Asian population and/or, second, because those that do work in restaurants choose to work in Asian ones where they may be more comfortable.

Well I'm in Carrollton and I think the reason why is cuz everybody working in any of the restaurants I've seen are all Mexican. They're the only ones who will take alot of jobs other people in this country think they are too good for.

Here in Toronto Canada, the place I order my pizza from has Asian delivery people and the Chinese food place's delivery people are from South America.

They are all working in Asian restaurants where it is easier for them to communicate.

I always wondered why there were so many Mexicans working in Asian Resturants..must be a job nobody wants.....
