What Snake did i find in my Garden - it was green with red dots on its neck?

I live in Surrey in Addlestone, so am not in the middle of no where, it was about an arm length long and about 2/3 of an inch thick?

Was it a grass snake? does anyone have any photos of uk snakes? thanks

Dave

definetly not a rattlesnake, probably a new species of garter snake or worm snake, its about 2/3 inch thick, a rattle snakes would be that thick if it was arm length it would be at least like 2 iches or more so not a rattlesnake, definetly not a green tree python, cause they dont have dots on their neck, let me thik, probaly or not a ringneck snake cause they dont have dots, i dont know, like someone said i would leave it alone, if u had a pic of it, i could identify it, i can identify almost all non venoumous snakes and venomous snakes.
