I have a Nokia 6030 phone with service through Cingular. Is there any way to transfer music clips (=ringtones) to the phone without going through Cingular's "ringtones store"? I'd like to put my own tones on the phone, not buy them from someone. Possible? Can I get a cable to connect the phone to my PC?

All your phone has is an easyflash connector that is for your service supplier to upgrade your software so you cannot touch that but your phone does not have and connectors such as a UMD so you will have to just use MIDI ringtones already with your phone but you do have an fm radio enjoy your phone sorry you cannot get a cord and cannot connect your phone to your pc.

you need a data cable and nokia's software to do this. Both are available on nokia's site (nokiausa.com).............

fyi....you need to find a program to shorten the songs (20-30 seconds) because the phone does not have much internal memory.
