The answer is 20 years old.
If the boy is 4 years and his sister is 3 times older than his age, she would be 12 years old. (4 x 3 = 12).
So you add on 8 years to get the answer.
(12 + 8 = 20 years).

20 years old. If the sister is 3 times the age of her 4 year old brother she is 12 (3 x 4 = 12). It will take him 8 years to reach age 12 so she will be 20 (8 + 12 = 20).
