Also, I wanted to find out possibly how best that scientific principles and principles of geometry have been composed into beautiful musical works to convey profound ideas, and shape and uplift cultures, and the minds of the population. I know that Bach, for example, considered Johannes Kepler the greatest musical composer ever! He worked through Kepler's works that laid out his discovery of the solar system and planets as being a dynamic system generated on the basis of musical harmonies (e.g. Harmony of the Worlds, The New Astronomy, Mysterium Cosmographicum) You can find Bach's influence in all music, that is ever composed.

"We're a punk band that wishes we could play Bach."
-- Paul Hewson

What most beautiful music other people know of, since my experience is of course quite limited. Music from other countries and languages also encouraged. Singing another language is the best way to learn the language! Whoever fuses the reason of science with the beauty of music is genius.

Problem is some of the prettiest tunes have been recorded with lyrics I don't much appreciate. And some of the best-written lyrics are set to tunes that are boring in isolation. So I'll stick to instrumentals: Blood, Sweat and Tears did a remarkable thing called "Variations on a Theme by Eric Satie." Or what about Scott Joplin's "The Entertainer?" And there was something wonderful in the 60s called "Flute Thing," but right now I can't remember who did it. Maybe the Blues Project?

Then there is one exception to make for music and lyrics together: Jefferson Airplane did "Hyperdrive" on their album "Dragonfly." It was truly original, and truly wonderful.

Some of the best music I think has to be Amazing Grace, The Prayer of St. Francis. Now for more modern rock music it would have to be Stairway to heaven by Led Zeppelin, Wish you were here by Pink Floyd. Pretty much any songs either of those two bands have written.

Danny Boy and other Irish ballads.
Songs by Stephen Foster, such as Beautiful Dreamer, Old Black Joe, Swanee River.
Some of the old ***** Spirituals, such as Swing Low, Sweet Chariot.

They may seem overly sentimental and sappy by today's standards, but can be very moving when properly sung.
