it is the chicken because it evolved from other birds which evolved from other mamels etc etc
there couldnt have just been an egg that appeared from the sky or grew from the ground lol i always tell people its the chicken coz honestly i dont see any other way??

I was an egg+sperm, now a person. The egg+sperm came before me. However, My parents came before my egg+sperm, and that's as far back as I need to go to say:
Parents > Egg+Sperm > One New Parent (me)
My mother (chicken) existed before me (egg), therefore chicken came before the egg, in my case.
Life is a cyclical progression after being created.

Scrambled eggs and fried chicken come to mind.

My opinion is that since God made all animals that the chickens came first..also it is my reasoning that you need to have the chicken to be able to get the egg...make sense to anybody else but me??

The chicken of course, the egg didn't lay itself!!! and you don't need a rooster to fertilize the egg either, the eggs that you get from the grocery are unfertilized!!!

Since the retiles that eventual evolved into birds laid eggs before birds as we know them existed. The answer is the egg came first.

I think the sperm comes first because before anything can happen the egg has to be fertilized by sperm. Think about it.
