We've been married 27yrs. We met, moved in together, and married all in 5 months.

Our anniversaries have always contained time alone. Dinner, movie, shopping, etc. Whatever we did we did alone. (no kids tagging along).

I was with my husband for about 1 1/2 years before we got married. I was a week shy of 19 years old and he was twenty years old. It has been very rough and still is rough at times. We recently atttended our 10yr. high school reunions and were 1 of 2 couples that have stayed together and married since we graduated. It's definately something you have to work at because there are a lot of ups and downs in your marriage. Not sure if you have kids but we have three 9,7,6 and we owe it to them to make it work! Good luck! A great gift would be a day at a local park or botanical garden. A little alone time is something to cherish. Pack a picnic and spend the day together alone!!!!

I have been happily married for 13 years and counting... I have no regrets what so ever!! My relationship with my husband has been working pretty good, he is my best friend. You know the first day I seen him in my heart I new it was love at first site. We went out for a month and a half before he propose to me and of course I said yes. After that we were engage for one in a half month before we tied the naught. So all together we went study for no more than 3 months. We went to La's Vegas to get hitch! A lot of people wait a long time before they say I do but not us!! He was and I'm proud to say it has been the only man I have ever, ever been with!!! As for a gift idea for your anniversary.. Why don't you romance the night away, make a nice romantic candle light dinner for the two. Put nice romantic music on, if possible put the song you and him dance too on your wedding night. Have a bottle of wine just to spice up the night a little! Now for his main present put on some sexy clothes, something you have never worn but know he would fine pretty sexy. Make sure you put a bow on your self, so he could open his present. I'm pretty sure he will love that, men like things like that a little more than a regular present. I wish you and your man a HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, may you continue to have many more....

I knew my wife for about a year before we were married. Married at 18, and have been married for 13 years. We have had our ups and downs, but we are stronger because of them. As some here have said, communication is the key.
As for Anniversary present, how about a cruise? They are not that expensive and they give you a fun time alone.

My husband and I dated for 3 years before getting married. We will have our 13th anniversary in December. Been together a total of 16 years. Men are too hard to buy for. I usually buy something that he has been wanting for a while.

This question has been asked like a zillion times here. Yes, I'm the master of exageration...just ask my husband.

I've been married since I was 20 and I am 31. When I was married for 7 years, on the 8th year I was soooo ready to move on.

My husband and I knew each other for just under 2yrs when we got married. I was 19 and he turned 21 the day we married. That was 19yrs ago. We are ok. It has been a rough 19yrs. I guess I don't have any great gift ideas. I think being together on your special day, doing things together, just the two of you, is much better than any gift. Have fun and enjoy each other.

Six years. Knew him for two months prior to engagement, three more months prior to marriage. Had actually met him one year prior to that though, briefly, while hanging out with a female friend at a college function. We just didn't go on to get to know each other till a year later when we both were friends with the international girls at our college. Yeah, it sounds like we didn't know each other well enough, eh? Well, sometimes it's not just love or money that motivates marriages.

For an anni gift? Something that says you hope there are seven more good years together. :) Only you would know what that might be.

My wife & I, who are now separated, were together for 9-10 yrs before we got married, & that was only after beng separated for a year, then we decided to get married, it was supposed to indicate that we were finished with brking up but alas, somethings just don't work...esp when you force the situation.

COMMUNICATION is the key to all relationships. If yopu're not on the same page then, it will not work out more than likely.

Congrats BTW. I hope you guys have many happy years to boot.
