Keeping secrets only leads to trouble down the road. Furthermore, who are you to choose what is in his best interest (or is it your best interest). I sure as hell know that I wouldn´t want someone else calling the shots for me.

Of course. We all keep secrets, some big, some small. Why hurt someone you love if you don't have to. It does depend on what the secret is. Some things are better out in the open, even if it hurts.

It would highly depend on the nature of the secret. Sometimes, what you may think is in their best interest is in their worse.

Do you mean if I thought it was my best interest for him not to know? If I keep something from him, it means I cannot handle his reactions. I cannot judge what is in anothers best interest.

I'd really have to sit down and analyze the situation carefully. If i then thought it was in their best interest, i probably would keep quiet.

men do it all the time....honesty is the best policy, but if I cheated with, say, Uncle Kracker,and I would not tell hubby about it, because he 1) wouldnt believe me 2) would hurt him tht I went looking for satisfaction elsewhere, and 3) we have been married 10 yeras and i have not cheated on him....
