In most women the pregnancy hormone doesn't show up until at least a week after the first missed period. Which is why you hear so many women say they find out they're prego at 6-8 weeks instead of 4 or 5. So I'd wait a few more weeks before you test. However if you can't wait that long then make a doc appt. to get a blood test because chances are if you are prego youi'll get a false negative. Blood tests are way more accurate because they can read even the smallest hint of the hCG hormone, whereas, an at home test has to have a higher amount.
I'm going through something similar myself, except I keep track of my cycle. I'm 27 yrs olf and my cycle is very regulare at 25 days. My last period was on Aug 11. I had sex right on my peak ovulation time. I had some slight spotting. I should have started on the 5th, but now I'm 5 days late. However I'm not going to take a test until sometimes next week just to be sure. If the test is neg. and I still haven't started then I'll call my doc. for an appt.

If you conceived on the the 21st or 23rd of August, you should beable to take a pregnancy test and get an accurate reading. However, if you conceived on sept 6th, then you definitely wouldn't get an accurate reading. Buy a pregnancy test with at least 2 tests inside. That way you can test today, and if it comes out negative you can test in a another week or so. You can put your mind to rest in the mean time. The bleeding you are experiencing could be implatation bleeding (sometimes it appears right around the time you should be expecting your period), or it could just be the beginning of your period. You will know either way in the next day. Hope all goes well, and good luck!

Implantation bleeding is usually a brown or pinkish color and very light spotting, so it sounds like you might be experiencing this. The earliest a pregnancy test can be taken is about four days before your next missed period. Since your last period was the 13th of August and you think you have a regular cycle then your next period should be due between now and the 13th of September. So you should be able to test now. However, to ensure an accurate result you should wait until the exact day your period is due or a few days after and then test. If you do get a period then you're probably not pregnant.

I would take one just to ease your mind. You could wait to see if your period comes but if you're gonna worry the whole time you might as well take it now. However, this early a test may come back negative even if you are so you should still take one in a week or so when you are sure you've skipped a period.

I think the earliest home pregnancy test works a week before your next period....check the drugstore and read the labels.

I propose taking yet another attempt just to be on the secure factor after which reserving that app on the medical doctors if it comes up valuable lower back. Goodluck!!

Go to a doctor or go to a health clinic. Pregnancy is not the only thing that can cause this type of bleeding.
