Middle Linebackers are considered the "quaterbacks of the defense". First, you must posses the physical tools needed such as height and weight. You must be quick and be aware of your surrondings and know all the plays from front to back. Middle Linebackers MUST love to hit, if you don't than this NOT the position for you. Second, you must be able to work hard and be a leader on the field. Take Brian Urlacher for example, he puts fear into running backs eyes, if people do not fear you than you are not a good linebacker.
