Hi!
Someone suggested Arnica cream, it's a good start, but for the consolidation of bones, you could add:

Symphytum 30ch, 3 granules once a day for a week would help to heal your bones quicker (it is also called boneset and for the right reasons!).
If the pain persists, you can continue granules (and the Arnica) until it feels better. If you need more info, email me or consult a health practitionner, herbal medecine or homeopathy can help you quickly.

And above all, try not to move it. For the rest... you are doing the right thing!!! Hope you heal quickly!

Obtain a bottle of liquid Bovine Tracheal Cartilag (BTC) from a health food outlet. Take 10ml daily and for about three days wrap the toe in a swab of BTC., which is potent anti-inflammatory and repairs connective tissue. Try to keep the toe elevelated as often as possible. Tape it only to your foot.i.e. strap from under foot to top of foot over the toe and not around it.

Unfortunately, there is nothing a Doctor can do for a broken toe. Just keep taking painkillers until it settles down a bit and keep it wrapped so that it doesn't bang into anything. It took me 6 months for mine to heal but it does get better.
Best of luck to you
