My mom is thinking about getting me a different, cheaper mp3. How do I convince her an ipod is the best?

Why don't you get a job and pay for one yourself? If you are young, get a paper route. You will feel great when you are able to buy this kind of thing...with your own hard earned money. :) Try it, you will like it.

Not all iPods are really that good. What if you convince your mom to buy you an iPod but something happens to it? Then it would just be a waste of your mom's money right? I think you should go with whatever your mom chooses and when you work and make enough money, you can buy one. That way you're using your money and your mom can't say anything about it because it would be your money that you used.

dude the ipod isnt even best. creative zen vision m is with its goreous screen and awesome sound quality. all better than ipod. dude your brainwashed by apple. for one the zen vision m by creative is better becuase it has a 262k color screen vs ipods 62k. aslo it has better sound quality. and plays 4 hours of video and 14 o f music. also it comes in 5 colors. blue green black white pink. i have agreen im a guy. also it plays more types of videos so you can download movies from limewire or something else without the need to convert because it supports 6 video formats vs ipods2. i mean the ipods look is the only thing that keeps it in business. also the zen has an fm radio and a mic and fm radio recording. aslo it allows you to change the theme and set pictures as backgrounds. also you can hook it up to a tv and it wont look all ugly and blown up like the ipod since the ipods out put resolution is 320x240 the zens is 640x480. theres more but i think i made my point. oh yah what i just told you you can use to convince them to get you a zen vision m. which is 4 times better than an ipod. oh yah i know for one becuase ive compared the two side by side and also i know becuase ive done research for 2 months and ended up getting the zen viison m. oh yah im only 15 lol. ps the ipod is only for music, its bad at the too. and when i mean only i meanthat it sucks at playing videos only supporting 2 formats

Get something other than an ipod. I've had several ipods stop working on me for no good reason with light, careful use.
Find something better.

It could be that the ipod is not within her budget. Maybe you could chip in some money to pay the difference?

if the ipod costs too much for your parents,why not offer to pay for some of the cost of it

tell her you'll get a job or do chores to make up the difference. most likely she'll see how important it is to you and just give in.
CAUTION: she may take you up on it..so hope you're serious. If not, don't whine and be happy w/ whatever you get
