My Slovakian employees tell me they were unfairly booted by the Czech Republik. But not one of them illiterate an reason. They just say they were abandoned. They hate Czechs now and call them names like "stupid donkeys" but they can't tell me why this deep seated hate for their former countrymen.
The only thing they seem greatful for is that it did not turn into a civil war. They feel it might have 'been like Bosnia'. Does this mean there is an ethnic divide between the two countries?
I employ many Slovaks but no Czechs so there is no one voicing the other side.
Can anyone shed any light?
See also, my question on Slovak work ethics. Does this have something to do with the Czech-Slovak split???
