like mega byte giga byte how many gigs is it?

a teraflop is completely different fro a gigabyte, megabyte etc.
gigabytes and megabytes are a mesaure of storage space on the computer, a teraflop is a mesure of proccesing power on the computer, 1 teraflop is one trillion operations persecond, anything with a teraflop of power is generally called a supercomputer, basically terraflops are more simmilar to gigahertz and megahertz.mesuring proccesing power rather than storage space.

Teraflop, not "thera" it is a speed unit in CPU.

Tera is thousand giga; it meant the CPU can go over a thousand giga # of floating point instructions per second (fp instr. is the most complicated computer instruction in hardware).

It is not similar to Hertz, that is a physics unit describing cycle motion.
