The black scars almost sound like you presently have a skin infection. There's a skin condition called *folliculitis* (hope I have the name correct)...it's actually an infection of the hair follicle.

Go see a doctor, they'll give you a medicated cream to clear it up, it's quite common.

Embarrassing I know. I had the same problem. I went to a dermatologist and my doctor and was told some very expensive news. Electrolysis and laser hair removal are the only way to go. What happens is once your hair follicle is damaged it doesn't just repair. My problem was I got a bikini wax before going on a tropical vacation. When I got home as the weeks past, I started getting really bad bumps, ingrown hairs, etc. That is when I went to the doctor. The wax had damaged my hair follicles so I had to get laser hair removal. I paid about $1000 for my bikini zone. However, there has been a lot of studies recently that show that the laser is not as permanent as it was projected to be. It is "laser hair reduction" not removal. So I recommend electrolysis. It takes longer, but with more permanent results. Plus it is only $15-50 per session once every few weeks. Rather than one huge payment. You usually have to go for about a year. But it is so worth it!!

Don't shave 'down there'! Try removing it with Nair or something. Shaving it can be very dangerous and open to lots of infections, so don't do it.

The obvious answer is to stop shaving. If you were meant to have no hair, you wouldn't have any. Go natural and look like a grown up.

exfoliate before you shave and then moisturize afterwards. the exfoliation should help prepare your skin, and you'll be extra smooth!

maybe applying a bit of witch haze or chamomile lotion will help, perhaps shaving is not for you,
