Sure. Sometimes it's called "salvage" instead. People go out into the ocean looking for shipwrecks & retreive what they can for profit. They could be freelance, appointed by an insurance company, hired by the company who lost the vessel, or employed by a historical/museum organization.

Are there people who are treasure hunters for their full-time job? Yes I am almost certain there are

Is there any school you can goto and get trained in being a treasure hunter, with a good chance of a full-time paying job waiting for you when you get out?
No I am almost certain there is not.

The closest you could probably come is to get a degree in archeology, and then get a PhD in a similar subject. Then you could get grants to go to sites and dig for things of historical value, including treasure.

I suppose an archaeologist is somewhat of a treasure hunter.
