Just some further info on route 666: It is not in AZ, but in New mexico and Colorado, and it is now 491, not 666. (It used to be 666, and parts are still signed as such, but it is officially 491)

Route 666, among the best highways that bikers loved to travel because of its hairpin turns, straightaways, and delightful scenery.
It went from the southern reaches of Arizona up into the high country with temperatures always favorable--so long as you wore a full set of leathers.
