oxytetracyclin was used for acne treatment,,but as it has many side effects in comparison to minimal chance to treat acne,it is better to be used in more dangerous infection as mycoplasma,,reckettsia,,, but not acne

Dry and/or greasy skin due to poor oil composition of the skin. Thick greasy oils clog pores, lack of oil leads to dryness and irritation. You need thin oils to moisturize while dissolving and clearing gunk in your poors. Try fish oil or seafood. 2 tsp fish oil a day or 4 servings of seafood a week. Stick it out for at least 2 months; it will take a long time to replace all your oil. Any effect after 1-2 days is temporary or random; so even if it makes you break out a little at first, you haven't given it a full try yet.

In the short term you can wash and moisturize well, but that will only go so far. Plus excessive washing can be drying and excessive moisturizing can be clogging. Use a small amount of a light moisturizer, made with oil not jelly or grease. Often that means soybean oil or mineral oil. Mineral oil means mined from the ground. So soybean oil is usually better, though mineral oil won't cause too much harm. Clean with soap and water, not a harsh acne cleanser. Even then they only work so well. So you really need the seafood.

Antibiotics aren't really good for bacteria long term, they'll come back in force after. Short term they may help. After you get off them find some kefir with acidophilus listed first or 2nd to replace the friendly bacteria they destroyed. Studies show less illness when you have these bacteria, even outside the stomach in places such as the lungs and elsewhere. You want friendly bacteria to fill the void when the antibiotics stop, not harmful ones.

In the short term you might also try 100,000+ iu retinol vitamin A (a megadose, and too much for normal use) or one of the acne drugs that is similar to retinol vitamin A. It's some minor harm to your organs, but it helps against bacteria on your skin. At least it doesn't have the other long term drawbacks to your skin that antibiotics and many scrubs do.

If you would like to learn how to treat your acne permanently and regain your health and wellbeing, without drugs, without typical acne treatments, and without any side effects, then this will be the most important letter you will ever read.

I struggled with acne for years and I finally found the solution that works for me. We have been fooled, tricked, deceived, and just plain lied to. It's time that someone put a stop to it, and everyone learn the truth!

Those of us who suffer from acne have usually been given 2 choices and neither of them work:

1. Over the counter remedies such as cleansers, creams, ointments, etc. These things have been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

2. Go see a doctor and or dermatologist. They will generally prescribe prescription drugs which include topicals and or antibiotics. This, too, has been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

I found a step-by-step program that cured my acne and it has never come back. It is amazing and doesn’t use any drugs or doctors. The truth is that acne can be cured…if we know the secret the doctors and drug companies don’t want us to know.

There is a great website: http://cure-my-acne.info/3daycure/... that has all the details. I really suggest you check it out and see if it works as well for you as it did for me.

Oxytetracycline Acne

The medications may or may not work. However, I have had good luck with them. The pills are mostly antibacterials if the doctor thinks you have a bacterial infection on the skin or it could be accutane for severe acne. The pills will take about 4 weeks to notice a big change. As for creams, this takes longer - you should give at LEAST 3 months before you give up (even if your skin gets worse before it gets better) and use it as directed every single day. Mostly creams give you dry red skin at first and may make your acne worse initially but then you will see results and that in my opinion its the most important thing. The good thing is about creams is that you can continue to use it after your acne is gone to prevent it from coming back, whereas pills you should only be taking them until your acne clears up and the acne may or may not come back (In my opinion, why take the chance?)Make sure you always apply the cream with washed and clean hands and face. As for face washes, whatever you use make sure its for sensitive skin (like cetaphil cleanser). Anyone who has acne should treat their skin very very gently - no harsh scrubbing or rubbing hard with towels and absolutely no touching or picking at them. These things can spread acne, aggravate it and make it worse in fact.Try avoiding makeup if you can during this process... best of luck!

Ignore what some people have said. Yes it does have side effects but I used it for over two years without any. And to be honest it didn't help a whole lot. So I've recently stopped using it and I've been given an alcoholic solution-Dalactin I think- to try and dry out my skin, as my oily is skin the cause of my spots. If nothing happens my doctor said he'd put me on the pill as that alters your hormones, production of sebum etc and so helps the skin.

My friend uses lymecilin and it works for hers. It's absorbed faster by the body but isn't as strong I wouldn't have thought becasue her acne isn't as bad as mine.

Oxytetracycline also causes birth defects to a baby-bones and teeth, basically calcium. I would think this is why dairy products can also cause acne. Cut ice cream out, that really helped me. And also use a tea tree oil facewash and this can have the same effect as benzoyl peroxide only its a lot less strong and so takes longe to take effect.

I took "tetracycline" years ago not sure if it is the same. It took some time and yes it did look like my face got worse, however the long term benefits for me, is a clear face today and no acne scars. There are side affects associated with the drug, ask your pharmacist, to be certain it is right for you. Also, use a very mild cleansing regime wash, tone and moisterize. "cytaphil" or Clinique worked for me. One last note, a topical gel from the Doctor called erthomycin 2% applied to the breakout worked for me to. Again be sure it is right for you.

I used it and my skin is perfect now with no spots what so ever!! However, I know there are a variety of medicines doctors can prescribe so maybe it would be worth going back and checking with them. Things that also help = healthy diet, drink lots of water, get lots of sleep and be happy! People worth being around can see past the spots!! xx

It is true that these have side effects and you need to be careful, but the Doctor knows best and he/she wont hand them out willynilly as they are expensive.
My daughter took them and they have been a wonderful help, her skin is clear and it took ,months to kick in, but then she found like all other medication after 6 months or so the body got used to the drug, so she swapped to another antibiotic for a few months and back again. They gave her back her self esteem, but closely watched by her GP.

A web site I recommend is http://www.goobypls.com/r/rd.asp?gid=547 by Steve and Becky Holman.
They teach you how to look younger and literally reverse the aging process. This program is not about drugs, supplements or gimmick. It's 100% natural: there are specific ways to move, eat and think that tell your brain to stop the aging process. They also teach all the things the you absolutely have to avoid if you want to slow the aging process and achieve your ideal body.
