If it falls between 37 weeks and the 40 weeks it's fine but if she is a first time mother than the doctor shouldn't give her an option if she wants to induce it the first child always comes naturally. The only way the doctor should force it if she is way late and he has to do a c-section.

Yes it is true that now a days you can get your pregnancy induced there are natural ways and there are ways by the doctor you can also have sex to induce your labor!

It does happen. Induced labor is a great deal more painful than letting it happening when it happens, because the muscles are forcefully cramping to push the baby out.

Yes, you can. There are drugs to induce labor. A lot of women are doing it now to take the anxiety out of waiting, or to better fit their schedules.

Yes, you may, if the doctor sees no harm in it and has a spot available for that day. I chose when the induction of my first and second children would be, 41.5 and 42 weeks respectively.

It happens. One of ours was late. We negotiated with the doctor when he would induce . . . but the day before it happened naturally.

Yes it does happen, but I don't agree with it. Elective inductions usually take a very long time and are more likely to end in ceserean section.
