Which one? 1933 was the best. 1976 was good. 2005 was not quite a good as the original and it was too long

I think that it was a good one-time theater experience, I wouldn't see it again, or buy the DVD, as it was 3 hours long, but I think to experience the massiveness that is King Kong and the feeling of being on top of a skyscraper with him, you have to see it on the big screen at least once.

Or maybe a really big TV will work?

I think it was good; normally I don't like these kind of monster movies because I think they're cheesy, but this one actually had a story behind, other than just the monster eating people. Kong actually develops friendship with a character, and one can't help but to sympathesize with him at the end... Watch it whether you like monster movies, or even romantic movies, with a bit of humor as well. Have fun!

It's great. It has nice sceneries, it has romance, action, comedy meshed together nicely. And the bond between king kong and the leading actress is just simply touching...

I thought it was great. It's definitely not going to challenge for an Oscar, but the movie was very fun, intense at times, and just a pleasure to watch.

It was ok, it just seemed so done. I know the effects were amazing, but the story has already been told and used as entertainment for so long that I didn't really enjoy the film (content wise). Art wise, yes, amazing.

Peter Jackson's remake? It went on a bit long, but it was really good.

The studio was unhappy, as it "only" grossed $567M worldwide
