If you haven't washed them, that could be the problem. Although, some jeans, mostly cheaper jeans, will still lose color on your shoes. One good way to stop this is to soak them in a big pan or bucket with cold water and lots of white vinegar. Then, after about an hour, you can rinse them in cold water and dry.
This should do it.

omg! that happens to my bf too .. I hate it so much he has dark black jeans and dark blue jeans and they get on his shoes.. Nice shoes too and it ruins it. I don't really know how so if you find out let me know because the cleaner from Foot Locker doesn't work.
He puts rubber bands at the bottom of his pants to pull them up a little bit so it only stains like the sides of the opening and the tounge and laces of the shoes.
So maybe that would help.
Oh and dude this happened to his Timbz too !! I hate it cuz they are such nice shoes and then he asks for more shoes lol

Yes, you will have to wash your jeans first to get the excess dye from them. And if you wash anything white with your jeans, expect some staining.

turn the jeans inside out and soak in a buck with 2 parts vinegar and 1 part water for 24 hours. it will draw excess dye without ruining the color, wash with other blue jeans and tumble dry should work

I want to know that too, because when it rains and I'm wearing blue jeans with my white (expensive) shoes they always end up staining and it's annoying!!
