I have weather, analogue clock, email check, battery etc on desktop, but no calendar.
The main thing I wanted was the calendar.

I find that in order to access the calendar, I have to log into my email account each time.
Also, each time I log on to the system I have to re set the icons for weather, etc., as they obviously disappear every time I log off.
Would appreciate any ideas.

When I downloaded the widget engine it made a folder with all the widgets in and calendar was one of these widgets. All the calendar widget does is interface to Yahoo calendar, Outlook or iCal and display information from these. There is also a downloadable Google calendar widget.
