Why on earth does it matter? It's probably because they like how the clothes look. I mean I'd rather wear all black and baggy jeans, then all the ugly clothes that people are coming up with today, such as the awful spandex pants under a skirt, and gaucho pants.
I used to dress "gothic" and it was because I liked the clothes which is the same reason any one wears what they wear.

to express themselves honestly i think its dull and i would never but one of my best friends is a goth and shes into all those goth bands and all so its just her lifestyle i guess
aslong as we dont judge people by the way they look or dress then we can all get along and have WORLD PEACE =)
