Pay people that want to run for an office, and get elected. If they were really "for the people" I feel that they should live like the people that they are for.Nobody forced them to run for office. I also wish it was against the law to declare War,when in fact you yourself have never fought in a War.Why has "serving the people
more like serving yourself?" I would like to respect the people in office whether it be president or city council. If we dont have money for schools and elderly and jobs, and taxes are higher, how come they earn so much?

It should be against the law for politicians to break their campaign promises (misleading/untruthful advertisement); they should be held accountable for their promises. It should be against the law for any public official or elected official to lie in public speeches, to news media (TV, radio, printed news) and they should be made to stand trial and have automatic jail sentences!

VOTE, unless you can understand, write, and speak the language of the running officials. While ballots are availible in multiple languages, campaign speeches and promises ARE NOT !!!
