You find a good pair and brand that don't hurt your feet, stick with'em. Once you damage your feet you will have pain the rest of your life. So . . . . if these shoes fit the bill and your feet are fine with them, definitely go for it.
Only the fashion freaks are going to get upset about it, so don't worry about them. Comfort is the key.

When I was really young, my mom used to buy me new white sneakers everytime I needed new shoes.

whats so weird about it...if you have the money to buy the sneakers and you like them so much..why not.

It depends if its like the classic white k-swisses or white air forces, you can have many pairs of those because you messed up the other ones.
