Well, if you doctor says it is all in your mind, why didn't she advise you to see a psychologist, really! Go see one, and get this problem fixed. Especially if it is interfering in your life.

Get to another doctor. I have had a serious bladder problem since I was six. Finally, as an adult, I got to a urologist who understood the problem: she said it was an idiopathic syndrome, which meant that the doctors are idiots because they can't work out what is wrong.
I now take medication that makes me almost normal. The trouble with a problem like this is that even if it doesn't start in your mind, you get depressed, anxious, have low self-esteem, etc. I currently take Detrunorm, and it really helps. But I also have to take Prozac, because of the mental agony of my childhood. So, the sooner you get physically straightened out, the less damage to your psyche.

You could have overactive bladder - a medical condition that means sudden need for urination (I'm guessing it's number1?) - so I would get a second doctor's opinion. I've suffered from the need of having to "go" all the time - mine DID end up me having to change my diet - do you drink a lot of caffeine or alcohol? I had to limit intake of those items to keep the sudden urge from happening. Good luck and I hope you find the solution to you problem!

You can dehydrate yourself by not drinking anything for several hours before whatever but if you chronically do this I think you will be at risk of kidney stones because crystals grow only in a supersaturated solution and that is what is in a dehydrated body. Stop drinking acidy things as well as caffeinated things they are diuretics and make you pee. Review your habits and see if there things related to your friends that are causing this. I have run across insideous deadly so called friends that will do bad things to nice peoples.

Join the club did the doc do urine test? if not maby you should ask them.
Mine were clear so they decided it was in my head and said I have to retrain my bladder.
Sometimes im ok (home to skeggie no breaks) other times im not (home to 3 miles down the road).
Im a lot older than you though if your still at school, go back to the doc and keep going back till they offer some kind of help maby take your Mum along for support

You know what? I think I do that a lot too. Usually, when I'm active and invovled with something, I can go for hours without using the restroom, but when I'm bored or just not interested in what I'm doing it seems like Ihave to go all the time.

Any additonal info, like blood in your stools, loose stools, stool texture and your diet are all things you can look at and dsicuss with your Doctor.
being fine while you are idle and not being fine when you are out being active is a problem. I'd maybe even see a different doctor and get a 2nd opinion.

Your doctor is right. It would be different if you had the problem at home too. Maybe you should see a psychiatrist, maybe your nerves are going crazy or something.
