Where is the best place to live close to Sunnyvale?

Question

I am starting a new job in Sunnyvale next year and I was wondering where it's the best to live?
I would be willing to go ~30 mins with the car each morning to get there, that dosnt really matter.
It should maybe also be about the same distance to a university.
I am looking for a neighborhood that's safe, but not too expensive.
The most preeferred place to rent for me is a studio or 1 bedroom apartment within a suburbin apartment complex.

Stanford is about 10 miles north of Sunnyvale, Santa Clara University, 7 miles east, and San Jose State about 12 miles south. There are also smaller universities nearby, and of course larger ones further away in Berkeley, SF, Santa Cruz, etc. Traffic from the south (San Jose) and the East Bay (Fremont, etc.) to Sunnyvale can be extremely bad during rush hour, thus limiting how far you can get in 30 minutes. There are a large number of apartment complexes in Sunnyvale that would work. Mountain View is just northwest, a little more upscale, and a little more expensive. Santa Clara is on the other side, and a little cheaper. Both have a lot of apartment complexes and are fairly safe.
Los Altos, Cupertino, and Palo Alto are also nearby, but much more expensive, and with fewer apartment complexes. Beyond those, you may have trouble finding a 30 minute commute. (Though depending on where in Sunnyvale you work, sections of San Jose, Campbell, or Milpitis may work out.)

Mountain View is the best city close to sunnyvale! I used to live in Sunnyvale myself and decided to move to Mountain View because it's more fun and safe and affordable!
Make sure not to move into a neighbourhood filled with latinos because they steal a lot and it's not good!
Mountain View is closer to Stanford and Foothill College, 101, 85, 237... And it's quiet at night too!
There are some nice apts available where I live and they come with a private garden on your backyard too! It's close to Costco, Safeway and etc... You'd like it here! The nature is amazing! Lots of beautiful singing birds!

I propose Marin county for the proper public and private colleges contained in the Bay area. there are countless cities in Marin county and some are surely 20 minutes from San Francisco.
