i prefer to be called biracial. the term mulatto came from the spanish word mula for mule during the slave trade. if you were half black you were half human. so they called the kids mulatto.
i don't even allow my friends, teachers, or coaches to use the word. i make sure my younger brother knows it is disrespectful as well.

I always thought it was, but I saw a show on UPN where one character called her boyfriend mulatto. The boy in question was obviously biracial, and the girl may or may not have been, so ever since, I've been wondering if this term is ok for biracial folks to use amongst themselves, kind of like the n word in the African American community. Good question!

Ask a mulatto individual no longer a black individual by using fact mulatto potential mixed race. Us as Black human beings do have alot of white ancestry whether it isn't the comparable as asking a individual with one white and one black determine your question would desire to have been centred to them and to no longer in basic terms Black human beings.
