i can be really outgoing and i can be really shy, depending on who im with, and im not the mean type of person. im not a girly girl or a tom boy. if im lacking what in?

Some people are late bloomers. Maybe you haven't found anyone you are interested in. Maybe you haven't found anyone who is interested in you, yet. I never dated until I went to college, which was fine because the boys in my high school weren't worth the effort, and there were a much bigger variety of college boys who were actually interesting. Just be patient.

There is totally nothing wrong there...by sophomore year the girls are usually much more mature than the boys their age. Not that I'm telling you to try with older guys, but maybe give it time, boys take longer to get at the same mental level as girls. Even if you were dating by now, most of the guys you date would get on your nerves for being imature anyhow. Just let things happen naturally and one day things will fall into place...and not to sound like a nagging parent, but from my expiriences I would say focus on school first at that point anyway! you have the rest of forever to date (and it's a lot funner when you're older) =]

Dont fall into that game, just because you have not dated yet does not mean you are lacking anything, except a boyfriend. It was the girls who did not date when I was in school that I found most attractive, you are clearly smarter than most people your age so dont let this issue screw you up. High school is a game, do and act as you wish and if you like someone, tell them, if you do get rejected get over it quickly and move on. Dont ask someone to date just for the purpose of being sociably accepted, date someone you find attractive and enjoy being around, alot of girls make the mistake of dating just to date and be seen, this will only end bad, so quit feeling like you need to be accepted and find someone like you. Your life starts after high school, until then its all a game.

No! Don't think that! There are most likely a TON of guys at your school that like you and want to ask you out , but haven't. Don't feel bad if you haven't had a date. You have the rest of your life ahead of you and you shouldn't worry about if you have a couple of dates or not. Feel confident about yourself anf have no doubts. Guys like this quality in a girl ( a girl that is confident). Just be yourself an don't worry. There is nothing wrong with you.

no you are not lacking You are too young to start worrying about boys right now is the time to explore your world and worry about school. there will be plenty of time for dating later. I believe you are doing the smart thing. But of course I am a father of a girl what do I know? I am proud of her she finished collage job surfed a couple of years till she found her self she is mow married with a good job a man I like and to the best knowledge she is happy.
