Fibroids, tumours, endometriosis, pelvic congestion, precancer, cancer, birth control ... lots of reasons. Painful periods. Some women have partial hysterectomies, some have whole hysterectomies (where they take the ovaries too); reasons for this vary as well.

Pre-cancerous conditions, enlarged uterus, tumors, unresolved bleeding issues. Many reasons.
