I think you just need to sit back and wait for the issue of school authorities to no longer be a problem. If there is an ethical reason she is off limits to you then just date someone else. There are so many girls out there who are not going to get you in trouble. I assume that you are some sort of school employee or volunteer because otherwise there would be no problem with you dating her unless you are something like 19 and she is 17 or you are 18 and she is 16. In that case you should check the laws of your area.

I think you should just wait. It sounds like you can cause yourself a lot of trouble if you make a mistake. One girl is not worth damaging your career over.

Well if you two have become close and become good friends, I'm quite sure that she wouldn't mistake you. Because if she was so uncomfortable she wouldn't be friends in the first place. But the best advice that I can give you is just go for it, because you never know til you try and plus she could be feeling he same way, but she's scared too.

I've had plenty of guys 2 years older than me ask me out. Sometimes they might b 6 or 7 years older. However I'm 16 & am only friends with the guys 6 or 7 years older. Right now I'm dating a 19-year-old but i knew him in grammar skoo (we weren't goin out then) and he's cool. But i have been creeped out by guys older than me sayin they love me & they jus saw me or somethin' so take it slo like everybody else said. Good luck.

Ummm are you a teacher??? If so keep it to yourself until she gets out of school. If you are a student and she is just younger than you there isn't much she can say to anybody that could hurt you. You are just asking a fellow classmate out on a date. But if you are a teacher I would seriously suggests you leave her alone. Friends or no friends she could hurt your future if you tell her.

Well if you are worried about her telling the authorities then maybe thats not a good idea to let her know how you feel. You wouldnt want to ruin the friendship you have with her.

Never get involved with a friend... It will cause your relationship to just fall apart.. I know from experience.. I had a guy friend who I hung out with all threw school.. then when we got older he kind of noticed me in a different way.. One thing lead to another and boom, we werent friends any more

It's not a good idea to jsut come out and tell someone that you love them when you aren't even dating. It might freak her out. You could try asking her out, and just take things slow.
