My name is Shari. I'm not sure exactly what the origin is. Now that you've got me thinking about it, I'm going to do a search. I do know that my mother told me she didn't like my name. She got to name my older brother, so my Dad got to name me. They divorced when I was only a baby, so she quit calling me Shari and called me Joy. My whole family called me Joy. I didn't even really know my name was Shari until I started school. At school everyone called me Shari because that was my legal name. Now days, all of my friends call me Shari, but my family still calls me Joy. In a way, it kind of gave me "dual personalities." When I wanted a loving, caring, emotional response - a family need - I could be "Joy." When I wanted to have fun and be social - you know "party," I could be "Shari." I know this must sound kind of weird, but it's true.

You can find good names in any baby names book. You dont need ours.
