Does anyone think that "the next generation" of video games is just a shame for a bigger picture?

Question

In at least 3-4 years they will be talking about a new system that will out peform xbox 360. The same thing will happen to PS3 and Nintendo Wii<(stupid name) It's a competition field of who can wip out the better,make more money and who can control all of video game technology.
*(sorry if I am offending anyone*)

this all started with a game called "pong" where we sat and batted a virtual white ball back and forth across a virtual net, and we thought we had the ultimate new pasttime!

then atari decided that we should expand our horizons and came up with a system where we could actually change the game that we were playing and continue to spend our money with them even after we bought the system (great money maker and more addicting than pong)

then nintendo decided they wanted a piece of the pie as well, so they listened to all the gamers who complained that their eyeballs were floating because they couldn't pause the game they had been playing for hours and hours and how nice it would be to be able to answer the door when somebody came calling, or the phone, or let the dog outside or whatever we wanted to attend to and their system not only let us change games but had more improvements

as you probably know, about this time sega decided they also wanted a piece of the pie, and they incorporated all the improvements that nintendo did and improved the graphics as well

I have lived through this evolution in the gaming industry and i KNOW it's a tremendous money making business and it's always going to be one upmanship, there are tons of companies making money just making games for all the systems cutting their development costs alot, it's all in the business end and their creative staff

inflation is a shame too, i mean when i learned to drive we drove up to the pump and got a dollar's worth of gas, drove up and down main street for 4 continuous hours and still returned the car with more gas than we started out with ..... life has it's downfalls and we learn to live with them

(i do agree that it's gotten way out of hand but it's a little late to try to stop it now)

HA HA it is hilarious, I basically were given into this too. I have a psthree with a crap load of video games. yet the following i'm relapsing on Zelda Ocarina of Time, of coarse it would want to be the right sport ever made. yet no cutting-edge sport has its high quality tale line. You play video games to, have relaxing, previous the time, to placed your self in a dream the position you're bodily replacing the authentic results of each determination you're making in it. although the reason may be you do it to delight in it. once you cease taking area in it then bypass to at least something else and bypass on. kind of like a chick. LOL
