Get yourself a handheld GPS device like GARMIN or cheaper still go to a TOPOZONE.COM map of your location and pinpoint you place but you must know what frame of reference yoiu are using to undewrstand those coordinates like are they NAD83 or WGS84 or NAD27 ???? you can convert at various websites online. Know what kind of coordinates you get at the very start by whatever means.

Lat long map of your area. If you go to your county court house and look up your plot of land it will be there with your survey information or if you have a copy of your closing materials at home it should be there as well...
