You're only racist if you assume without any ground that a certain race's all member has something common. But that would be stupid, since it's impossible to control every single illegal Mexicans ideas, for example
Also, "Mexican" is not a race. If you hate Mexicans, you're only irredent or something like that, but not racist. There are only 4 or 5 human races.

The problem is with your question. Illegal immigrants do not have a lobby. There are LEGAL immigrants who lobby FOR them, and those LEGAL immigrants are American citizens. US blacks are also American citizens, as are US Chinese, US Jews, US Irish, US Scottish, US Portuguese, US Japanese, US Dutch etc. Which of these are you? Unless you're a US Cherokee or some other tribe, ALL of us immigrated here from elsewhere.
So yes, you are a racist. Not for questioning lobbying practices, but for thinking that YOUR ancestors immigrant background is somehow better or more legitimate than another group's immigrant background.

Who has the lobbying power ? And you where do you come from? If born here ,but you are white ,where do your roots come from? Asking questions does not make you a racist ,is the WAY they are asked. Keep trying and by the way what you are expecting is not going to happen.

At first I thought I could answer your question, but your details have left me confused.
You are not racist for questioning something...unless you are using a Q/A forum to develop a platform (anti black/jew/asian/hispanic?) Then yes, you are a racist.
The lobbies that scare me are not based on ethnic/cultural groups, but the big $$$ industries.

You're not a racist. There's a difference between saying, "[insert race here] has too much influence in our gov't because they're a minority group" and saying, "Why do they have such a big influence?"

You may or may not be a racist but should not be considered a racist for asking this question. Of course, there are racists that will paint you a racist FOR ASKING THE QUESTION.

You are not, you are racist when you say things in general about a group, when you generalize, not when you question about a group of people.
