They are going shopping for school clothes in October and my son's girlfriend said to my grand daughter "You better figure out what you want because you don't have your grandma anymore!" My Grand daughter is all ready very hurt and misses me and wants to see me. This girlfriend of his to me seems like cinderellas's stepmother and it was a cruel thing to say. what do you think?

She sound's like a (you know what! starts with B and ends with H) She is playing mind games with your grand daughter. I hope you win the court battle. But it seems your fight is not with him. It is with her. I would try to sit down and talk with her to try to resolve the problem. If she won't, then your only recourse is court.
The good thing is your grand daughter is 16 and the judge will decide by asking her if she wants to see you. Also in two more years she will be 18 and she can do what she wants. Like I said try to sit down and talk with them. Pick neutral territory like a coffee shop or the park. If they refuse to talk all you can do is get the best lawyer!

At 16 years old the courts will likely let your grand daughter decide if she wants to see you.Sounds like the step mother is behind this issue.

Making remarks like this to anyones child is way out of order wqith me.
It is cruel and making the child choose sides in an adult caused situtation.
What the sam heck is wrong with your son?? I mean that.
If any of my kids ever tried to keep me from seeing a grand child you bet your booty they would have such a tounge lashing they would have to run with their tail between their legs
It appears your son has a girlfriend that is need of mental help.
is she afraid you wil find something out about her?
Your son had better wake up. he is for a life of miserywith this gal.
good luck in court from here

Relax, he is of the wall unless there is a reason you have not declared here. She is 16 in two years she leagally does what she wants if she does not already. You will soon know where you 'really' stand with your grand-daughter independent of your son.

I am sorry about all of this mess.

Nevertheless, there is a ton of bs that is going on in this whole affair.

This one snipet certainly is not the whole story - I am not saying that this comment was acceptable though. You should be a big enough person that you can get over it.

16 yr old is starting to be old enough that she can associate with who ever.

I'd say your son is a jerk.Let me tell you this,i am probably wrong but they would have he** to pay and I'd make that bit**'s life so miserable she'd leave him.I am serious there would be no way she could interfere with my family without a fight from me and i mean any kind of fight. The thought of someone coming between me and my granddaughter makes me see red, fighting red.I'd probably beat a Bitc**'s A**.that's my word.

I believe the comment was selfish and uncalled for. It is obvious that the best interest of the child is not at heart
