I rearranged my bosses keyboard to read 'C*ntface'. I'm a bit worried now.

Frankly, I can't imagine you not being in trouble. But at least he won't be typing any coherent dismissal notices in a hurry, so you should have a couple of hours on Monday morning to read the job ads.

You might offer to fix it for him in exchange for a good reference.

Later:

I think you need to tell Ohio Kate how you got the job in the first place.

If you work with a lot of other people and most everyone has access to the boss' office, then no, you're not in trouble.

If it's only you & the boss, or you're the only one with access to that particular keyboard OR if there are security cameras all over the place, then YES. You're in for it.

Start working on your very best 'sad puppy' eyes and 'I really didn't mean it' looks. You might also want to start practicing some deep throat techiniques. You may need them if you want to keep your job ;-)

If you get time, do the same to all the keyboards in the office and then tell your boss that all keyboards are set out that way and always have been.
Before you know it, you'll both be laughing and saying "I can't believe no-ones ever noticed that before". Your boss will feel really clever for noticing and may give you a pay rise due to their ensuing good mood.

If you're your own boss and work all day from home and see noone else but yourself then you probably know yourself well enough to know you deserved it, so don't worry.

Get your friends in the office to distract him first thing Monday morning while you nip in there and undo it. Good luck!
