This is a trickier question that it first appears. You see, men and women enjoy a certain amount of sexual tension in a relationship. It is always present between to people who have some level of attraction.
They become good friends but underneath there is the simmering level of passion that is always present. Others can often see it even if you think you are being discreet and careful.
The real problem is when sexual tension, stress and opportunity arise to provide you with the option of taking it to the next level. Once you cross the line and have sex with that person, your relationship will never be the same again. It will either get better or worse, but it can't go back to being "just friends."
Weigh the consequences and possible outcomes of your actions and good luck!

Real is what you want to be and who you are! Every relationship has its own boundries, father daughter, husband wife, nieghbours, daughter mother, employer employee, cousins, client counselor, doctor patient, sisters, brothers etc. the chain is unlimited. same way there can be a good dependable relatonship between two different sexes. But you have to know the boundries and stick to it.
If one crosses it the that particular relationship name can be withdrawn. the whole thing changes and along with it the beauty of that particular relatonship.
Staying with in the boundries tells about you, your level deadednes, there is respect, and you really stand out as a mature person.
Some of my best friends are men and they are great friends.

Yes, they can just be great friends. I have a friend who is a girl and we are great friends. There is no physical or emotional attraction between us or something would have happened ong ago. We have known each other for over 10 years and we both have partners.

It is very difficult, especially when the two are singles... Otherwise also the frienship between opposite sex is bound to end in intimacy

It can happen, but there must be some kind of barrier to prevent the sex from creeping in
