I use Roget's thesaurus. It gives different choices for words. Also, most programs have a spell check, like this one has It will highlight the word it thinks you might mean and you can click change.

You might try using any dictionary site to get the spelling right first - GRAMMAR. BTW, in both your examples, either word would make a good sentence (after spelling clean-up and adding "the" or "an" after "about" in the first.
