"WASHINGTON, Sept. 8 — The Central Intelligence Agency last fall repudiated the claim that there were prewar ties between Saddam Hussein’s government and an operative of Al Qaeda, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, according to a report issued Friday by the Senate Intelligence Committee.

The disclosure undercuts continuing assertions by the Bush administration that such ties existed, and that they provided evidence of links between Iraq and Al Qaeda. The Republican-controlled committee, in a second report, also sharply criticized the administration for its reliance on the Iraqi National Congress during the prelude to the war in Iraq."

Smoke, mirrors, lies, misdirection, cover ups, writing his own version of history and rhetoric is all bush does, it's his public relations policy, it's all he's done since he first ran for office in 2000.
He's been doing whatever he damn pleases because so far he's been slick enough to cover it up.
If he actually cared about the truth, quit trying to make his own version of reality, and focused on running the country better instead of benifitting his friends and friendly companies even when it hurts the common good of all the people, he wouldn't need to cover up anything.
But he's not going to do that, we know that by now, he's in too deep, the truth is out there in some media and it's so mind blowingly evil and incompetent at the same time his base just won't believe it.
That's why we need to fight to expose the truth in the main stream media and in the conservative media, it's a bitter bitter pill but they need to take it and only then that's when we'll make some progress.
How to do that is by presenting arguments so honestly, objectively, understandibly and of high quality as to build credibility with the entire nation that's the only way it's going to happen, a good place to start for seeing how to do that is to watch some walter kronkit broadcasts.
The thing is when trusting people take him at his word, they start to buy into the bush mythical version of reality, and the truth is so much uglier then the fantasy world he spins for them they just don't want to believe it.
If they looked at what he said while he said it NOT trusting his words on face value and trying to see if he's lieing (looking up how to tell when someone is lieing is a start) then they'll see he's full of it.
The thing is he knows how far his base will go to seek the truth and knows how devious he has to be to trick them.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but every administration that I can remember has lied through its teeth to us.It's just fashionable and trendy to slam Bush for it.As far as the so called evidence that you post this will be refuted over and over again when the results of further investigations are made public.Maybe to drive your point home better you should provide evidence that a previous administration did not lie to us."No new taxes,I never had sex with Monica,NAFTA will make this nation stronger(by exporting millions of American jobs?).The list is far too long to include everything so I just slammed Billy boy.

The war in Iraq started because Saddam refused to let U.N. inspectors perform inspections freely, as was agreed to by Saddam previously. He violated an agreement with the U.N. When told that he must allow inspections or they would be performed by force, he stated that if the U.S. entered his country we "Would lose everything" He said that we would be destroyed.
The war was not based on a connection with Al-Quaida.

This is not proof that the president lied about anything. It is proof that the New York Times has repeatedly either outright lied or has spun a story into an intentional attempt to smear our president. Shameful.

George W. Bush is a Moran. He should be impeached and executed for high treason of the United States of America.

Hes too stupid to think, he paid his way through elementary, middle, high school. and college, if not he would be stuck in the first grade!

He was never elected either time. He LOST the popular vote TWICE!

Al Zarqawi. He was in Iraq before the war. That is not repudiated.

Also, the CIA did not repudiate Saddam's link to terror.

Your daddy Saddam isn't off the hook yet!

Absolutely not, it's the CIA's fault for bowing down and kissing Clinton's butt and not following thru on Iraq and
it's connection to al-Qai'da terrorist network and the terrorist bombings that was going on during Clinton's 2 terms in office.
