I would consider it cannibalism. The placenta was once living human tissue. I think it's disgusting to eat something that came from another human's body. It's doubly disgusting to serve it at a party!

This could be a slippery slope, but if it ever becomes socially acceptable to eat human placenta, what's to stop us from eating other body parts?

Think about it. It's the only meat that a living creature didn't need to be harmed to produce. If you're a vegetarian for moral or religious reasons, likely this is the only chance you're going to get. It's worth noting that many animals eat their own placentas.

very strange.... i would not do it.... but i guess some people see it as a body part that is edible... just like other animal body parts that we eat....

in this case, the placenta was extruded from the body without harm to the human body....cannabalism usually destroys the human in order to eat everything..

This is sick. No one should ever eat a placenta; we are not animals, so no need for this. Even vegetarians should get their iron or protein elsewhere, e.g. fish, nuts. etc.

no, it's only cannabalism if it had been alive to start with, but it wasn't.
