Ancient Egypt is my favorite period in history!! I love to study the different aspects of it, from the dynasties to the architecture to the education of the people and even look at their religion

They were so incredibly creative. With all our modern technology, I think we have lost some of the problem-solving skills that ancienct technologies had. Their ability to build the pyramids and the sphynx was just amazing, and the calculations were all incredibly accurate.

I am constantly TiVoing programs from the Science channel and others about Egyptology!

Intruiging is actually spelled intriguing. And according to the head of the Egyptian Antiquities the oldest structures are the pyramids, which is a fallacy since science has proved beyond a shadow of doubt that the Sphinx is at least 13,000 years old. And the ancient Egyptians were basically morons. Try the ancient civilizations of China and Tibet. China 5,000 years old, Tibet 7,000 years old.

Nope, you're not the only one.
The one thing that really facinates me in ancient history. So I get really excited when The History Channel has that type of thing on instead of recent history, which I find totally boring. When I go to college next year, I am planning on majoring in Classical Studies, which has curriculum focused on ancient Rome, Greece and Egypt, my favorite three things in the world!lol
I really don't know why that period of time is the only one that intrests me, maybe because it is so mysterious. Not to mention they had some pretty cool clothing options!

Yes, I do like Egyptology alot. Like you say, they were interesting people so long ago. I also like the people who lived in Mexico and South America along time ago. They to were very interesting because of what they could do so long ago.

the respond is amazingly basic, the Ancients Egyptians did no longer pass everywhere, sure we've been mixed, yet we (contemporary Egyptians) are the only descendants of the Ancients, no person else.

I love the mysticism surrounding their culture. All the talk of curses and whatnot.

When in Las Vegas, we made sure to see the Luxor hotel/Casino. Very cool!

I also liked The Mummy movies with Brendan Frasier for the great entertainment value!
