Things that are iron rich, like red meat, broccoli, and spinach. Stay away from caffeinated drinks. They can make your cramps worse, and your boobs more sore. Drink more water, it will help with bloating. Try not to eat things with a lot of sodium/salt as it will make you retain more water. I know some girls crave salty/crunchy things so do the best you can.

fruity stuff, like lots of juices and liquids. You should also take vegetables. These replenish energy and help in the creation of red blood cells (since you are loosing blood). Also avoid sugary stuff, cause it could cause your cramps to worsen and some people say it makes their flow heavier.

I have heard that you should avoid foods that release sugar very quickly. Go to foods that release carbs slowly like bran muffins. Yummy!!!!
