There may have been a traffic jam inside her that cause a problem. Swimming with her head down would suggest a sickness brought on by the stress of a difficult birthing. Add a bit of aquarium salt for freshwater fish to your tank just in case.

stay rock seems to be rock or coral that has microscopic organisms living in it it is efficient to the saltwater environment. A fifty 5-80 gallon saltwater aquarium won't carry many fish--saltwater fish want a lot of room to stay in. i might propose the bigger tank as a fifty 5 gallon tank is amazingly small for saltwater fish. Saltwater may well be stressful to maintain as they have very strict standards for the water and don't tolerate substitute almost besides as tropical fish. As for male and female guppies, in my journey, they stay jointly fairly peacefully as fry and as adults. yet once you do save them jointly, you *will* finally end up with pregnant guppies. a female guppy could have six pregnancies after being fertilized as quickly as, so notice of that--you will finally end up with a lot of guppies at last in case you keep adult males and ladies jointly.

I have 30 guppies and they are livebearers meaning that they don't lay eggs. The sperm is located in the black spot of a guppy's belly. She probaly died from the stress of labour. Also guppies don't care about taking care of their fry(baby) they will eat them if their hungry.

It was likely stress check your ammonia, and nitrate levels. Feed the gravid female freeze dried brine shrimp, and spirulina based flakes. Add some salt. (1 teaspoon per 5 gallons) Other than that guppy breed like mad.

PS- The black spot is the babies eyes.

Usually guppies have many babies, not just one. It is pretty common for them to die in birth. If the mama feels stressed or the water isn't just right sometimes she will hold her babies in and die. Sometimes they get blockages, too. I've heard about people cutting the belly open to release the fry if that happens, but that's just way too gross.

It might have been to hard for her to have a baby in a tank. It might have worn her out. u might want to take her out of the tank.
wait a minute, u ask like the fish had a live birth or sumthin. unless guppies dont lay eggs.

I agree with the first poster. The fish probably just had a hard time having the fish and died..
You need to take her out of the tank and flush her.
