People slander others because they are jealous. It is also born of ignorance.

People are lazy and make rash judgements on what they hear others say and then are reluctant to let go of these judgements.
People who weren't interested in him are also getting aggravated because they keep hearing about him.
Some are saying it's the academic elite that did not like him.
I am sure that is not true because alot of people I witnessed belittle him could barely spell at all.

(Not that I'm perfect with spelling..lol)

I've seen a lot of the many, many Steve Irwin threads on here since he died, and I haven't seen anybody say he wasn't a good man.

Where did you see that?

Because he did more in his short lifetime than most of us ever will. He loved what he was doing and most of us do not. He brought joy to millions of people all over the world and he took pleasure in educating us about nature. People who have the audacity to slander him are miserable and "misery loves company".

I thought he brought a lot of attention to conservation and the preservation of wildlife. He did it in an offbeat manner, but that was what drew the attention. He made it fun to learn about it all. He will be remembered for his work. I, personally, will miss his shows.

I think that people should let him rest in peace. He lived his life in a way that made him happy. What is wrong with that? Isn't that what we all would like to do, go through life happy and doing what we want as long as it does not hurt anyone?

he was an interesting person who cared about nature. it was unfortunate that he had to die at the hand of a sting ray. just hope that the wife and kids continue his work by teach about preservation, make more documentaries about it and keep the zoo going. it would be a tribute to the guy if they do.

I agree with you. people need to learn to respect other people especially those that are dead. He was a great man and I wished everybody had the passion for life like he did. If you didn't like him keep it to yourself, especially for his wife and kids sake. I feel so bad for them. he was an awesome man and great father and husband.

You know what not all people are going to like him but I did. Its a tragedy of what happened and I wish his family well and that he will rest in peace. But for anyone reading this please don't slander his name he was a great person who brought awarness to animals and our world.
