The best you can do is simplify.

12x (x+3) 12x 4x
_________ = _____ = ____
15 (x+3) 15 5

Faxtor out (x+3), reduce to lowest terms (4x/5)

Be sure to ask your teacher what all this 4x/5 answer stuff is all about.

Look at 3x + 9.
See how both terms, 3x and 9, are divisible by 3?

Look at x^2 + 3x
See how both terms, x^2 and 3x are divisible by x?

What's leftover when you factor out the 3 and the x? The same thing! Good luck finishing this up and getting the answer the rest of the helpers got for you!

Its simple....

12/5 will be the number = 2.4

so:

2.4 (x^2 + 3x)
___________
(3x+9)

CAN BE FURTHER SIMPLIFIED by taking 3 as common factor

2.4 (x^2 + 3x)
___________ =
3 (x+3)

0.8 (x^2 + 3x)
_____________
(x+3)

take X as common factor in the numerator

0.8x (x + 3)
_____________
(x+3)

CROSS OUT THE (X+3)
So the final answer is

0.8 X

Hope you got the point :)

Well, I'm not sure right now, but I asked a question about where I could find math help! I got this site!

Scroll DOWN to a table of contents (Ignore the "ad" links to the left). There's quite a bit of algebra stuff (see part 2 in the table of contents).

= you can make it simple :
= 12x(x+3) / 5 [ 3 ( x+3 ) ]
then you can omit x+3 from the top and the bottem :D
3(4x)/5*3 = 4x/5 !
that`s it !
