Calculate area of big rectangle. Calculate area of missing piece of smaller rectangle and subtract it from area of bigger recangle.

graph it and count the no of squares.take 1/2 or more than 1/2 square as 1 square and ignore squares less than half.now the number of squares will give you the area in mm^2
