definitely if they wish to;
you are then mixing with different people; helps to keep you in touch with what is happening in the world;
If you have younger children it can be beneficial to you to get out with some adult company; can give you a sense of independance;
HOW??-- part time work; casual; full time;
type of work depends entirely on your skills & interests
regardless of anyone elses opinion though - it really is a personal decision
