first thing, put the gloves on, peel the orange (i hate getting bits under my nails, its well ****) then eat the orange. cut the duck tape down the middle into 2 2 metre strips using the scissors. wrap half of one strip round the egg and fix the end to the other strip. you got 3 metres. make a paper hat and put it on your head. tie the string onto the non-egg end of the tape, and slowly lower the egg down the 5 metres to the ground. toffee.
or
cut the top of the orange off with the scissors, mash the insides up, insert the egg, put the top back on then wrap the orange in paper and then the gaffa. roll the string around the gaffa'd orange, hold one end of string and let go. hopefully as the gaffa'd orange falls, the string will make it rotate so it would hit the floor rolling. with little damage caused to the chicken. mmmm.

I'd put the egg in both the gloves (i.e put the egg in one glove, then put that in the other glove)
cut a hole either side of the glove to put the string through so it goes around the egg+gloves. Tie a knot in the string.
Fold the A3 paper so it's long and thick enough to be stuck on the edge of the building, stick the string to the end of that using all of the remaining duck tape (i.e from the building, when you drop the egg, you'd see paper then a stretch of tape and then the string with the egg on the end)
With the orange I'd un-peal and separate the segments making like a little soft landing area for the egg, so's it doesn't smash!

ok people re-read this question, done? ok, now does it say anything about having to drop it from the TOP of the building? haha I've found a loophole! ok, now the plan is simple, put the egg in a glove, tie with string, tape for extra security, eat orange to gain energy ( (not calories) and it will help you with your 5 a day!), cut through the padded walls of your ground floor cell so that you create a window (and a good escape route) in the GROUND floor wall!, ok now, to use the A3 paper, , fold into a square, and make a large paper snowflake, by the time you have done this it should be dark enough for you to carry out the following procedure without people staring at you like you are a psychotic maniac P.S now would be a good time to cut through the straight jacket with the scissors.OK!!!!! NOW! c o n c e n t r a t e. lower oh so very carefully over the rim of the makes shift "window" until it's approximately a nanometre above the ground, then drop. Voila! The egg touches the ground without smashing! :D now run, they've let the dogs out!

1 Make a hole in each side of one glove.
2 Wrap the egg in orange segnments, peel and cover with the other glove. Put it into the one with the hole in each side. This protects the egg a little.
3 Thread the string through the glove using as little as possilbe and fix the long end to the tape.
4 Let out the tape, lowering the egg gently, and to the other end fix the paper lowering it so the egg is really low to the ground, Let it down gently.

cut a hole in the orange peel with the scissors(big enough for the egg to fit in) and mush some of the orange up but removing a lot of this mass(a cushion effect) then wrap the egg/orange in the gloves. Make a tube with the paper, securing the gloves/egg/orange in the middle, by tying 1 metre of string each side of them. Tape the scissors to one end of the tube and drop it! Hopefully the scissors cause the paper tube to land "scissor-down" and the eggs fall is broken (not the egg:-) by the crumpled paper and the orange/peel/gloves

wrap the egg in the paper.tie string to it using no more than 1/2 meter of the string. cut the duck tape in half. this should make approx. 4 meters of tape. tape the end of the 1 and 1/2 meter string the the end not using mor than 1/2 meter of tape. you should have a lenfth of tape and string equaling 5 meters.
put the gloves on and peel the orange using the paper as a plate.
eat the orange to replenish some body fuel.
lower egg to ground safely using string/ tape rope.
Enjoy.

Wrap the egg in the paper and tie it with the middle of the string. Tie the string to the little finger and the thumb of one of the gloves, then turn the glove inside-out. Blow the glove up like a balloon and seal it off with the tape. The egg will be suspended inside. Throw it off the building while eating the orange that you cut with the scissors. Wear the other glove while handling the orange so you don't get your hand sticky.

Tie the egg with the string; attach the other end of the string to the end of the duct tape. Unroll the duct tape while slowly lowering the egg down the building. when to you get to the end of the duct tape, attach it to the top of the building and run down the stairs to the egg which is now only one metre from the ground. take scissors and one latex glove with you. Hold glove below egg one millimetre off ground. cut string holding egg and allow to fall into glove.

inflate bothe gloves(but not 2 much keep them firm but soft) tie them at the end and put the egg in between them and stick them together using ductape use your piece of paper tan string to make a parachute device your egg will now be placed between two cushions of air and have a parachute to slow itsa descent should not break as always nothing in life has no gaurantee except for your hifi or like and even then it will run out. but as for the idea try it and see and if it does not work back to the drawing board but as for the egg

Wrap the paper into a cone. tape it so it stays it's shape, put the egg into it, it will fall fast but the impact will be absorbed by the nose of the cone leaving the egg unscathed.
