Hey Fakras, now thats a rich comment. Yet another conservative who blames Clinton for Bush's own misgivings. If the funding wasn't there, then why did Bush start a war and put our soldiers lives at risk in the first place? You people amaze me with your stupidity and ignorance.

Blame the democrats for downsizing the military, not conservatives and the hummers have all been armored and there are absolutely NO BOYS AND GIRLS IN THE ARMED FORCES OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, ONLY MEN AND WOMEN, Do you "people" understand!!!!!!

During the Clinton administration , the military was drastically downsized , 25% cuts in manpower , equipment , budget , the whole ball of wax ,
That's where he got his surplus , on the backs and lives of our troops !
The new body armour and armour for Hummers was on order but the order was canceled .
Aircraft , armoured vehicles , ships , all kinds of equipment were sold to scrapyards .
It takes time to rebuild after 8 yrs of neglect

WHY politics. The army has set aside certain funds to contractors and will not amend their budget to fix the problems that out boys and girls are facing today.

Probably because the funding wasn't there, because of the prior administration. It's getting better, now that funds have been re-allocated.
